 In the summer of 1984 Mario packed his bags in search of the American dream. Originally hailing from Torino, Italy, Mario flew the nest in hopes of a lucrative future. Being charismatic and a natural business man, he worked in several restaurants along the south Jersey shore eventually starting a few of his own. Mario noticed there was a lack of authentic Italian products in the United States. He left the restaurant business in the early 2000's in pursuit of a career in the food distribution world. Over the past two decades Mario has acquired a significant amount of experience in the distribution sector of the restaurant industry, working for companies such as Bindi Dessert, Roma, & Sysco foods. Seeing the niche is what propelled Mario to create il pastaio, a brand centered around introducing coveted Italian pasta to households across the United States.
